EBQ – Empresa Brasileira do Quartzo Ltda. is a supplier to all the industries of silicon based alloys mostly to Silicon Metal (Chemical Grade and Solar Grade) and Ferro Silicon industries, of which QUARTZ is the main mineral raw material.
Having two mines in exploitation one in the State of Minas Gerais and another in the State of Bahia, besides some other mineral deposits with quantity and excellent quality to provide QUARTZ as silicon ore.
EBQ is considered a pioneer company in large scale exploitation of great sized bodies of QUARTZ as Silicon Ore and, in this way; the company observe the recommended technical, professional and sustainable practices.
The Company’s mines have all the due exploitation licenses granted by the Brazilian government (DNPM) and by the environment control agencies. All the mine development and ore production is accomplished in a mechanized way, by a professional and specialized staff in such activities and also strictly observing what the mineral, environmental and working legislations determine.
